Understanding the different bet types helps you make better decisions when navigating the mg777 Bet section. Here's a quick guide to the most common markets you'll encounter:
| Bet Type | How It Works | Best For |
|---|---|---|
| Moneyline / Win Bet | Pick which team or player wins the match outright. No handicap involved. | Basketball, Boxing, Tennis |
| Asian Handicap | One side is given a head start to level the competition. Eliminates the draw option. | Football, Basketball |
| Over / Under (Totals) | Bet on whether the combined score will be over or under a set number. | Basketball, Football, Volleyball |
| 1X2 (Three-Way) | Bet on Home win, Draw, or Away win. Standard format for football matches. | Football |
| Parlay / Combo Bet | Combine multiple selections into one bet. All must win for a payout — higher risk, higher reward. | Any Sport |
| Live / In-Play Bet | Place bets while the game is in progress. Odds update in real time based on what's happening on the field. | Basketball, Football, Esports |
| Correct Score | Predict the exact final score of a match. Higher odds due to difficulty, but bigger potential returns. | Football |
Odds tell you two things at once: the likelihood of an outcome as estimated by the bookmaker, and how much you stand to win per peso staked. mg777 typically displays odds in one or more standard formats — decimal, fractional, or Hong Kong style. Decimal odds are the most common format for Filipino bettors and are the easiest to calculate with.
Quick Odds Example — Decimal Format
If you bet ₱200 on Team A at odds of 1.85:
Potential return = ₱200 × 1.85 = ₱370 (includes your ₱200 stake + ₱170 profit)
Lower odds mean the outcome is considered more likely, but the payout per peso is smaller. Higher odds mean the outcome is less expected but pays out more if it lands. On mg777, the odds for each market are shown clearly alongside the selection so you always know your potential payout before confirming a bet.
